ELEMENTARY OR HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIOR HIGH

ELEMENTARY WRESTLING CAMP

Monday thru Friday July 8th to July 12th. The elementary camp starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm each day. The morning session will include two 1 hour technique sessions, a warmup and a break from 9 am to 3 pm. After wrestling lunch will be provided by Liberty Arena and then the kids will have supervised activities at the various venues within Liberty Arena including the Arcade, Bowling, Trampoline park and Turf activities until 2:45 pm. Pickup and dismissal will follow.

There is also before and after camp care available from 8 am to 9 am and 3 pm to 5 pm if you work prevents you from picking up your child. Before and After Camp Care is an addtional $99 for the week.

The camp will be run by Hughesville Spartan Wrestling.

The camp will be staffed with Hughesville Coaches and High School Wrestlers from the Hughesville Wrestling Teams as well as some local volunteers. All staff will be required to have clearances.


 

SPARTAN SCRAPPER SUMMER CAMP

JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL GRADES 7TH-12TH

5 nights of wrestling AND fun at Liberty Arena.

Each night will include 1 hr and 30 minutes of wrestling technique AND 1 hr of fun activities at the arena.

After each sesssion, wrestlers will be able to hang out with friends and have fun at some of the attractions at Liberty Arena including the arcade, bowling, trampoline park or playing kickball, dodgeball or other games in the arena.

Each night will have a featured clinician.

CAMP REQUIREMENTS

1. ALL CAMPERS MUST FILL OUT A LIBERTY ARENA WAIVER FORM

2. ALL JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL WRESTERS MUST HAVE A USA WRESTLING CARD.

USA WRESTLING MEMBERSHIP CARD  (purchased once per year Sept 1 to Aug 31)

Why do I need a USA Wrestling Membership Card?
USA Wrestling, the organization that regulates all wrestling in the United States, requires that all wrestlers purchase a USA Wrestling Card Membership before participating in any USA Wrestling sanctioned events, including club practices, camps, clinics, etc.This membership is for the protection of everyone involved and provides secondary insurance to those with the membership.

Do I need to do anything other than purchase my USA Wrestling Card each year before I am covered by the USA Wrestling insurance?
YES!  You must fill out and sign the registration and waiver forms from Liberty Arena in addition to purchasing the required USA Wrestling Athlete Membership.  These completed and signed forms will be kept on file with along with a copy of the membership card.

Where do I buy my USA Wrestling Membership Card?
To buy your USA Wrestling Membership Card, please go to https://www.usawmembership.com.  The purchase price covers membership for one year; from September 1 through August 31.  You may purchase your membership at any time during the year, however, the membership benefits do not apply retroactively and expire at the end of August each year.  Your USA Wrestling Membership Card number will remain the same each year.

How can I get my USA Wrestling ID and password if I do not have it or forgot it?
First go to http://www.usawmembership.com.  Then click on the link to have your login information emailed to you.  Enter your USA Wrestling ID or email address.  If you enter your USA Wrestling ID, the system will email the login information for that USA Wrestling ID to the email address associated with that ID.

USAW Athlete Membership
Valid for athletes wishing to compete in USA Wrestling sanctioned events and chartered clubs.   Membership benefits include secondary, non-duplicating sports accident insurance provided by an outside carrier. There is sports accident supplemental benefits provided to USA Wrestling members who participate in limited non-sanctioned events. In addition to the insurance coverage it includes a one-year subscription to USA Wrestler magazine; the opportunity to compete and take advantage of events, camps, clinics, international exchanges, and club programs; discounts on wrestling gear, equipment and apparel; and other national discount programs as they become available.
